Vitamin A cream - does it work?

And if so any recommendations? I have some acne scarring that I would like to blitz.

My old facialist recommended Vitamin A cream but I'm a bit sceptical that I can buy it in a strong enough concentration to do anything much.

I agree with you. The OTC stuff varies both in strength and efficacy. You need the real mccoy - Retin A. Difficult to tolerate and while it may help a tiny bit with scarring, it really is an anti ageing treatment. If you want to try an OTC retinol, look at Avene or LRP. Personally I'd hit the Retin A.

How bad is the scarring? Save up for Fraxel or its ilk? I think it's still the gold standard whne it comes to carring treatment. Microdermambrasion +/- acid peels help a little also.

It's not on my face but on my back so quite a large area but easier to treat than face in many ways because it's less sensitive. The acne was a side effect of the Mirena unfortunately and being very pale any spots seem to leave red marks for forever.

I don't know about Fraxel - I'll take a look, thank you.

I just want it gone now I don't get new spots :)
