age 37, 5' 3", size 10ish.

Need v neck (definitely NOT high neck)
need some sleeves of some sort - maybe 3/4?
needs (ideally)to be to the knee
close fitting (maybe body con at a push?)
ideally black, red or blue, or a bit sparkly.

cheap and wow without looking tarty/chavtastic. £40 max.

Have looked at Dorothy Perkins & Asos, no joy. help me please!

I want to buy every other item on this website
topvintage.net/en/clothing/dresses

I've just ordered a satin midi dress from ASos, might be a little long as you are petite but comes in black and red and only £16.50 in sale. Looks very flattering, simple but sexy and classy

I found missy empire last week, some fab dresses on their site.

I've got this one and the neckline and waist are very flattering indeed, and with the right jewellery and shoes it can go almost anywhere. Sleeves may not be quite right for you though?

Mincedpie · 06/12/2015 09:33

H&M have a nice silver sequin pencil skirt, think it was £25, would look great with a black fine knit jumper (Primark £6) and a long silver necklace.

beanhead24 · 11/12/2015 17:19

thanks all, no joy as yet, any more suggestions?

I've bought several dresses that sound like just what you want; they're from Phase Eight and Damsel in a Dress. They're usually about £100-£150 but I've bought them all from Ebay for about £30. I'd suggest you buy one that's only been worn once, and that's machine washable, so you don't have to fork out for dry cleaning before you wear it.

"Miss Candyfloss 50s' dress on the Top Vintage site is awesome!
