Be gentle with me, I don't often venture onto S&B 
. Dd is 11 and wants to start experimenting a bit with make up at home. I don't have a problem with this but I'm not much of a make up wearer (use make up no more than once a month!) and have very little. I want to buy her some bits for Christmas and then get somebody else to teach her how to use it!! I want to buy reasonable quality stuff but without paying a fortune. So, I would welcome your thoughts on what to start with & what brand(s) to go for.
