Is it any good? Is it easy? I have thick straightish hair past my shoulders.

I have one and it's ok. I have wavy hair just past my shoulders and I'm not enamoured with it enough to have made it worth buying.

I have friends who love it, though, so I think it depends on your hair type.

I imagine ending up with a head of frizz with the odd straight strand that I've missed.

it's really good but takes ages to use if you want all over curls, does look good though

saying that mine hasn't been used ages

It is good but if you are thinking of growing your hair any longer than it is now then you are best with the 'pro' version.

Watch a few youtube video reviews to get an idea of the kind of curl it is.

It's okay but not fantastic - go for heated rollers or a traditional curling iron instead. Both options offer a lot more control, especially at the back of your head.
