How many weeks does your foundation last?

I could bump my old thread but alas you wise people did not answer! Wink

I have recently moved from (imo) awful EL doublewear to beautiful Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua compact. Thanks for the advise all!

The issue.... I've had my new Chanel foundation for only two weeks but can already see the bottom of the pot! I use everyday and touch up on 4 occasions ( In my job I get V.V WET!. I don't use an excessive amount and absolutely do not want the ORANGE look although I hail from good ole ES-SEX 😳

So how much mileage do you lot get from your chosen foundation? I think with the price of Chanel I may have to get a couple of paper rounds on top of my Full time job... Xmas Shock

12weeks ... I use No7 everyday, apply once in the morning and follow with a setting spray

whatdoIget · 02/12/2015 23:30

About 5 years usually. I don't wear it often and don't touch up

FrustratedFrugal · 03/12/2015 05:04

Depends, liquid foundation in a pump bottle or a jar of mineral foundation goes on for about a year, but I used up my Korean cushion in a couple of months and a tube of BB cream is also gone in a couple of months.

Qwebec · 03/12/2015 05:26

12 years and it is almost like new

disclamer: I use it less than once a year

sparechange · 03/12/2015 05:43

Are you using a brush or sponge to apply it? It goes further if you use a brush...

My Mac Studio Sculpt lasts 4 -5 months. I use BB cream (and before that used a primer) so don't need to touch it up
It comes in an annoying tube so the last few weeks of squeezing the last bits out are a pain!

BrendaandEddie · 03/12/2015 05:57

About half a term. Maybe more

BrendaandEddie · 03/12/2015 05:57

12 years woman. You might need to bin that one

BrendaandEddie · 03/12/2015 05:58

And aOp well done in binning double wear. It's like morgue make up

Mominatrix · 03/12/2015 06:15

years - literally. The last bottle I was convinced to buy was purchased 4 years ago and almost full. I should just bin it as I will never wear it, and i t is probably dangerous to do so now. I just don't wear foundation.

BrendaandEddie · 03/12/2015 06:43

MKe up older than 18 months. Bin. Ew

Scarydinosaurs · 03/12/2015 06:46

When wearing every day 3-6 months depending on the brand/time of year.

Can you try a spray to make it last the water better? My sister swears by the MAC one.

Pointlessfan · 03/12/2015 06:54

About 3-4 months, I eek it out as much as possible, it's expensive!

zippyswife · 03/12/2015 06:56

Just under a year. I use it every morning (ysl touch eclat foundation).

eurochick · 03/12/2015 06:58

I bought my current one for my wedding, in 2010. I don't like the feel of it and so wear it rarely.

curriegirl · 03/12/2015 07:23

About 4 months. I use a brush. Are you using one?

scandichick · 03/12/2015 11:28

About six months when using fingers to apply, using it every day. Same for lots of different brands. That sounds far too quick for it to run out!

Saurus72 · 03/12/2015 11:31

MAC Studio Fix 30ml with a pump used daily lasts me 8 months. One of the many reasons why I don't see any virtue in going for a less expensive option, it is an absolute bargain.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 03/12/2015 11:32

I used mine every day, it lasts 4-5 months? I don't need to touch up during the day though, I suppose if that's like a new application, I can see why it's being used up so fast.
