Small Boys thin waterproof jacket help please

I'm looking for a thin jacket for my son. He has grown out of the one he has and I want him to have a fully waterproof one . He has a great thick coat for when it's colder but it's quite mild at the moment and he gets hot .. Are 'Hatleys' the only option for that sort of waterproof material ? Thanks in advance .

Try T K Maxx, they have a lot of Hatley style coats - also if you are alright with something like Regatta, we have several of their thin waterproof jackets and they are very good and inexpensive. (online or Go outdoors or any camping store)

sizing is normal btw, a bit big if anything

My DS had a Hatley-like raincoat from m&s but although it was lined, it wasn't fleecy lined like the Hatley one he now has. The sizing I've found a little generous. My just turned 4 yr old is just about getting a second years worth of use out of his Hatley raincoat. Hunt around as there's normally codes and discounts for them online too.

DS2 had one of these, which did the job of long, soggy school walks perfectly (until he became a coat refuser!)

I find the hoods on Hatley coats to not be very generous (maybe my children have big heads?) and I prefer coats to have elasticated cuffs, or adjustable sleeves.

I ended up this year getting my DC1 a Didriksons waterproof coat with a mesh lining, like this and it is really, really good - though not such nice designs as Hatley. I like that it has reflective bits.

Didriksons or Helly Hansen are amazing coats

My dds have got Hatleys and they're lovely. Proper thick outer and with the bit of towelling interior they're really wind proof and warm. Spot on for sizing I'd say.

Decathlon Grin

bishboschone · 03/12/2015 20:42

Sorry for the late reply .. He is 4 and a half but not tall .
