Non comedogenic hair gel for a 9 year old boy.

DS has been using gel for a few months now and has a crop of little lumps on his Forehead.One of them turned into a large spot ( as he picked it I think)Given that he's still quite little and I really don't like to see him spotty is there any 'safe' hair gel?Also what can I use to clear up his little lumps?16 year old DD uses Clinique products for her spotty skin.But I think they may be too harsh for him.I have really allergic skin and I suspect he's inherited this.

Googled this and reckon he might have Pityosporum folliculitis ( hope this is spelt right!).Read some information that Nizoral shampoo might work if the suds are left on the Forehead for 5 minutes.Well I did this last night and his Forehead is a lot better this morning.I'm reporting on this in the hope it might help someone else in the same situation.
