What are your recommendations for a luxurious bubble bath and shower oil

I am feeling a bit sorry for myself. Have the biggest blister on my tongue (the pharmacist gasped when he saw it) and my mouth/throat is agonisingly sore thanks to the latest bout of HFMD doing the rounds.

So, I am cheering myself up, and quite literally wallowing in a lovely, hot bubble bath. Chill FM is on soothingly in background and am MNing on phone. Bliss. But I have just finished off the most amazing bubble bath and I am going to need a replacement soon. The one I've just finished seems to be a limited edition Italian brand so i don't think I'm going to be able to do a straight replacement. It's a Camelia fragrance by 'L'Erbolario'. A friend was given it and passed it on as wasn't keen so would be awkward to ask giver.

If anyone knows where i can get another it would make me very happy (and I am sure would cure my painful mouth Grin). Otherwise, what would you recommend? It smells gorgeous, has an amazingly soft texture and leaves your skin beautifully hydrated.

I have on my list as a possible replacement, Neom Pure Luxury Bath Foam. I defo prefer foams/bubbles to oils in bath (more flattering if DH walks in Grin.) I was a fan of Ren Rose bath oil but have gone off it.

Also, what shower oil could you recommend. I LOVE L'Occitane Almond Oil. For the smell and way it leaves skin. My day-to-day go to is Dove anti ageing one in burgundy bottle. Am after treat shower stuff as well as day to day, just needs to be moisturising.

Also used to love Ren Rose bath oil and adore L'Occitane Almond shower oil. Have you tried Neal's Yard Rose and Pomegranate bath oil? Follow with Beauty Sleep Body Butter - totally gorgeous. Free Frankincense and Mandarin shower gel when you order too....

squoosh · 29/11/2015 00:12

I was going to say L'Occitane Almond shower oil and the Ren Moroccan Rose Grin

Aromatherapy Associates oils are lovely but expensive.

I like Dr Organic Rose Otto bath oil from Holland and Barrett. Often on offer.

At the cheap end of the scale Asda's N-Spa and Mandara Spa from Sainsbury's are cheap yet lovely.

MarmaladeBasedProtectionRacket · 29/11/2015 01:25

L'Occitane Verbena is my favourite - soap, shower gel, anything - just love the fragrance!

I also like some of the Molton Brown shower gels

ELR · 29/11/2015 06:23

Can def recommend the Neom stuff it's fab. Neals yard I love too. Both of those are natural.
I like Jo Malone shower oil wood sage and sea salt is nice but pomegranate noir is my fave.

Lucymatilde · 29/11/2015 06:40

I expect I'm old fashioned but I've inherited a love of Badedas from my mum.

curriegirl · 29/11/2015 09:27

Badedas here too Lucy!

Dowser · 29/11/2015 10:00

I love clean citrus type fragrances.

I have this one

uk.loccitane.com/jasmin-bergamote-shower-gel,83,1,36067,367697.htm

The perfume is lovely too.

RubberDicky · 29/11/2015 10:07

I love the elemis frangipani shower cream, just feels and smells gorgeous. They do a body oil too but I haven't tried it

Karcheer · 29/11/2015 10:11

The oil is high maintenance rubber as you have to keep it warm or it goes solid. I love the smell though.

luciole15 · 30/11/2015 10:41

Ooh, lots of lovely ideas here to investigate. Neal's Yard Aromatic Foam Bath is extorionate divine so might reinvestigate that. Wonder if Liz Earl does a bubble bath? Her shower gel is gorgeous.

Will investigate Aromatherapy Associates too. Haven't dabbled so far but hear they're nice.

I might contact the manufacturer of the Camelia one. Maybe they have some hanging around!

Or I might get the L'Occitane Shea bubble bath. Luxurious foam, and have scented candles for full effect. Decisions, decisions!

I used to love Fenjal. Anyone remember it?

Quite like Jo Malone. Lime and Basil?? or something like that.
Not keen on Molton Brown, Fragrances are nice but I find their ingredients quite harsh.

luciole15 · 30/11/2015 11:13

I've never dabbled with Fenjal. Think it's still available?

Jo Malone's a good idea. Thx. I know they wer bringing out a new scent with cardamon in which is gorgeous. Maybe they've done a foam bath with it in. Not such a fan of citrus scents for relaxing except Neroli or orange blossom.

Agree MB seems a bit harsh.

I only have time for an indulgent bath every few months these days so it has to be good! Grin

Any of the Laura Mercier cream bath products sold in the glass jars with wooden honey dippers are fabulous. I like the Creme Brûlée and also the Creme de Pistache and the Fig one too. They are £££s but I always ask for some for Xmas or birthday.

If you are feeling ready indulgent get one of the matched sets of cream bath, body scrub and body cream. Divine!

Ubertwat · 30/11/2015 11:28

I had a Fenjal bath last night and can still smell it on me and around the house.

Absolutely still available at Boots.

luciole15 · 30/11/2015 14:17

Banning and Plumpy you guys are good! Thank you! I can feel a large order coming on! Might have to slip a few extras in the basket. Will try the violet too I think.

And cremebrulee the LM ones are a good idea! Wonder if I can steer DH in their direction for Christmas. I have seen then and they look scrummy. I normally sail past them though as not keen on dept store beauty halls. Maybe that's where I'm going wrong though?

T K Max is great for lots of American and Continental toiletries. I recommend going there for a browse if you can. Some of them have beautiful packaging.

luciole15 · 01/12/2015 10:12

Thanks for the tip Carla. Will have a look next time I'm near one.

Was going to say Liz Earle shower gel is lovely but I don't think they do a bubble bath. Korres also do shower gels that smell amazing but again, no bubble bath!
My favourite bubble bath is the Clarins 'tonic' bath, lovely and herbal smelling. Most disappointing was Elemis milk bath - it's supposed to be skin softening but it did nothing for me, and the smell is nice enough but it's basically the same as Johnsons baby bath (the lavender one) which I use when I'm on a budget!
I'd also recommend Lush butter ball bath bomb - no bubbles but it's got big chunks of Shea butter in it so is great for dry skin.

misscph1973 · 01/12/2015 10:33

Its' not a bubble bath, but Olverum bath oil is just the best thing ever. It's pricey, and rarely on offer, but it's worth every penny.
