I'm wobbling over my dress purchase...

I have a night out with friends tonight and on a whim this morning, picked up this dress:
m.newlook.com/shop/womens/dresses/black-mesh-panel-lace-trim-pencil-dress-_362015101

I'm 29, 5'9 and a 12 with 34D chest. When I tried it on, I thought it looked nice and its very slimming. But I do have a ample chest so there's a bit more to display than on the model. Will I look OK?

Where are you going? I think if it looks good on you should wear it?

EmilyPunkhurst · 28/11/2015 14:13

If you tried it on and loved it then I say go with your instincts.

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 28/11/2015 14:14

So long as the dress doesn't look strained or puckered across the bust it'll look fab.

ginmakesitallok · 28/11/2015 14:15

What sort of bra will you wear?

ZaZathecat · 28/11/2015 14:25

It will look great.

By your thread title I thought you were physically wobbling over your dress, i.e. breast overflow!

HappyGirlNow · 28/11/2015 14:42

It's completely transparent at the back. Presumably if you have big boobs you aren't planning on going bra-less?? I think seeing a bra through that (and the narrower transparent big at the front), even a nude one, will ruin the look a bit.. Sorry..

Runningupthathill82 · 28/11/2015 14:53

Depends on your bra plans really... How does it look from the back with the bra you're planning on wearing?

Crankycunt · 28/11/2015 15:16

If you feel good in the dress, you will look good in the dress.

Nettletheelf · 28/11/2015 15:46

Get one of those stick on bras. I like the dress, and you're the right height and size to pull it off. It wouldn't work on a 5' size 16.

DontKillMyVibe · 28/11/2015 16:39

It's a nice dress but won't look good with bra strap showing at the back. Do you have a bra solution?

TheUltimate · 28/11/2015 16:49

No, I'm going braless. This is why I'm wobbling! I can post a photo of my chest in it.

TheUltimate · 28/11/2015 16:51

Bad photo but gives you an idea.

Looks fine to me Smile

HappyGirlNow · 28/11/2015 17:03

It may get a bit of attention though - how extrovert are you?? Wink

EmilyPunkhurst · 28/11/2015 17:05

In my opinion that looks fab (commenting on a cleavage picture is making me laugh a little).

Go out, have a great time, feel fantastic!

I'm 50, and without wanting to sound like your mum, I wish I'd done much more of that when I was your age and spent much less time feeling self-conscious!

SpendSpendSpend · 28/11/2015 17:07

im 28 and i like it.

I think though that if you wear it like that without a bra then if your boobs or the top moves slightly then it wont look right at the front

TheUltimate · 28/11/2015 17:28

Not very extrovert Happy!

I did quite a few movements in front of the mirror Spend Grin It doesn't actually move too much so I'm hoping it stays put all night.

Thank you Emily :)

If you have jiggled about abit and everything seems fine then it should be ok.

Dowser · 28/11/2015 19:42

It's a very brave person who can go out in a dress like that.

DamsonInDistress · 28/11/2015 19:50

You look much slimmer than a 34 back tbh, have you measured according to the bra guru guide. I think it looks amazing, if you love it, go for it!

Coastingit · 28/11/2015 19:51

Gorgeous dress! Wish I had the boobs for it. Maybe get some tit tape to hold everything in place?

ladygracie · 28/11/2015 19:54

Looks amazing. Have a fab night.

RubberDicky · 28/11/2015 19:59

Gorgeous dress, you look good in it. It's exactly what is have chosen before my post baby body has made me lose my confidence recently.

Have you got something you can throw over the top in case you suddenly feel too exposed?

HelloItsMeAgain · 28/11/2015 20:00

Another one saying please try the bra intervention. You are not a 34D. (Can tell by the height/dress size/fact you have said you are ample-boobage not from gawping at your pic Grin
