Pretty sparkly party dress for a short fat 40 year old!

I need a party dress for Saturday, and am having a last minute panic!

Its a dressy evening do, and I am 40, 5'2" and currently a size 14 (my biggest ever weight ) with flabby arms.

I like this dress from Debenhams but its a pale colour and I will have young children with me plus food and drink, not an ideal combination.

Budget is less than £100. And I need to order online today so I have time before the party!

Please can you help?

Just think, would Nigella wear it and how would she look in it then take that as your cue.

I have loads of Dorothy Perkins Dingit and quiz and now im just getting into joe brown.

Four dresses arrived yesterday from their summer sale. Two are going back though as they are a bit tight.

Got a lovely Izabel dress last week from Dorothy Perkins .£10 down from £32.

I think quiz is great for my age group.

Quick update on my dress:

Too long and lace was very hard and scratchy. Felt highly flammable...

This was too long for 5'2" me, and had weirdly small armholes, that pinched under my armpits. But beautiful otherwise

This was perfect and alot nicer in real life than in the photo

Party was fabulous. Hangover, not so fabulous.
