I like it in black

Would like it much better if it didn't have the belt

Tbh I tried it on and didn't have a clue what to do with the belt. My fashionista friend was like 'Tut tut, come here...let me do that for you'.

I think it's just a button sort of deal for when it's closed.

Personally I'd wear with relatively plain skinny jeans and a plain top, almost like the model is wearing it. It has a gorgeous lining so I doubt anything too 'fussy' would go, and the splash of purple makes it pop. IMO.

OH also, I'm not a girl. Or at least not last time I checked.

I love it. Its the kind of coat I dream of wearing but I end up looking like a squashed bag of mashed potato every time I try one on (which I do more often than is rational, hoping that fashion physics will have fundamentally changed since the last disastrous attempt).

I really like it, OP! Would go for the plain black - the purple lining makes the other one less versatile and I personally would probably grow tired of it quite quickly.
