Beautiful size 9 slippers for women - where are they??

I have been longing for a pair of pretty slippers - not frumpy or novelty, not sheepskin or moccasins, just something lightweight - for years. I'm a 9 / 43 (not 42) and so's DD who is 13. We both struggle to find nice slippers which actually fit.

So far I've ended up buying size 7/8 or ''L" which are usually a little bit too small. What I'd really like are something like these John Lewis velvet bow slippers but in a 9 / 43.

Has anyone found anything like this in a 9? I've trawled eBay but they are all too grim for words...

I got some purple suede soled moccasins in a 43/9 from Amazon. TKMaxx once had a pair of Pretty You Ballerinas in a size XL which fitted beautifully. I wore them out and have never been able to replace them.
