In-between length hair

About 2 years ago I had a very short pixie cut and have now completely grown it out. It's currently a one length bob with fringe, nearly to shoulders. My hair is very straight and although not thin, is v fine so lies quite flat. I'm getting bored with it but don't want to go short again as a lot of effort has gone into growing it out!!

Any ideas?

I'm in a similar position to you. I don't know where I'm going with it either!

Oooh, my daughter's hair is this length and I am quite jealous as I think it is short enough to look... perky? But long enough to put up.

So many lovely up do's. Little bits twisted back from the face, Dutch crowns, ponytails, you can go elegant or more cute...

My hair is this length too OP and fine, I am also growing out a fringe. I sometimes let it dry curly, scrunching with some mousse, but also think a 'half up half down' look with top bit plaited/ quiffed/ otherwise tied up looks good on this length of hair too.

thanks for your ideas. Because i had short hair for such a long time, putting it up is a completely alien idea to me! I will experiment. I had considered a slightly shorter bob with heavyish fringe (a la Katie Holmes - my hair is very straight and very dark brown, unfortunately that's where the similarities end..!) but on further consideration i might stick with it a bit longer.

Could you do a tousled long bob a la Jessica Alba with a sideswept fringe?

KnockMeDown · 24/11/2015 12:06

How about something like this?

In-between length hair

girlinthe unfortunately not, as my hair is so poker straight I know from experience that any attempt at a tousled look is a disaster. Also, I rather like my fringe, so that will be staying!

knockmedown - I'm not keen on the layering in that cut. If I'm going to keep it a reasonable length, I don't want layers which mean I can't put it up.

You see, I'm really very difficult Grin

Was experimenting with the half up, half down look last night and quite liked it - after 20 odd years of never having long enough hair to put up at all, it's taking some getting used to.

thanks all.
