Does anyone else just not suit red lipstick?

I'd love to be able to wear red lipstick but I've had to accept the fact that it just doesn't suit me! I find it looks hard and ageing on me. I'm
an ' Autumn' ( have had my colours done ) and find a nude is much more flattering. I'm pale with light blue eyes but with freckles and a redness to my skin. I find red lipsticks make my skin look more red and clashes with the blue in my eyes. Anyone else given up on red lipstick?

Me! I look like a toddler who's been through mum's handbag with red lipstick on.
I'm prone to rosacea though and my teeth aren't perfectly white and I find that red lipstick just brings out these 2 lovely features Wink
Tbh I've not found a lipstick I would love love love. Eye make up - I adore. Anything on my lips makes me totally self conscious.

I'm a self diagnosed autumn and lipstick queen medieval queen is supposed to be a 'red to suit everyone'. I've tried it and it's quite nice - it's sheer so it's a good choice for a first red.

Tbh, I think it has less to do with your colouring and more to do with the shape of your face/lips. I have a pale ginger friend who looks awesome in red lipstick because she has a lovely plump lips with a nice Cupid's bow. If, like me, your lips are your smallest feature then red lipstick looks ghastly. I need to make my lips look bigger, not like a small bloody wound.

I agree it's mostly to do with lip shape. Red lipstick looks best (imo) on plump lips. Personally I prefer vivid pink on my lips.

I do think though that there are a lot of women who think lipstick doesn't suit them when it's clear that it would. They're just self conscious about wearing it.

Me. I think it does not suit me because I have a chubby face with big cheeks and soft features.

I have to concentrate on my eyes and I think red lipstick would be overkill.

Also, I have never found a red that made me feel comfortable - it always seemed that the lipstick was wearing me. I can wear more muted, blue toned reds as long as they are not a drenched colour. I am a cool winter (I think).

I rarely wear red clothes with a yellow undertone because they drain my face and make my hair look mousey, so maybe there is a lesson there for me somewhere.
