Arabian perfume/perfume oils

I'm in Dubai for a few days and I'd really like to buy some perfume/perfume oils.

The shops in the malls are quite intimidating and I don't know where to start! I like woody, incense, cedar, sandalwood type scents. Any tips on which names to buy or where to buy?

Get yourself to the souk you'll get them at half the price!

Sorry can't help with names but you'll be able to try loads

Thank you. Is the souk reliable and not synthetic? I just wasn't sure.

Amouage does a fantastic range of perfume oils called attars. The have single notes, like rose and sandalwood, and then blended fragrances. Some are light and fresh, others dark, smoky and woody. It's a prestige line, so I would have thought you'd be able to get them in Dubai.
