Visible socks with trainers??

I've bought and sent back far too many boots this year in an attempt to get some nice practical winter ones. No joy at all. I've decided that boots and jeans is just a look that doesn't work for me. Sounds silly I know but nevertheless I am abandoning the boots search and will make do with some old ones for days when nothing else but boots will do.
What does work for me is trainers and jeans, think the round toe Stan smith kind of style of trainer, which I have in several diff colours. I wear them a lot with slightly shorter jeans and bare ankles but my question is will they work with chunky socks that are visible,in the gap for when it gets colder??

I did today. Not sure if its really the done thing but it was cold and the jeans I had on don't really work with boots.

Normal jean coloured jeans with blue/white converse and I put on navy socks.

I do this too. I wear socks that match what I'm wearing so usually black or grey then I turn my jeans up a bit to make a point of the socks being on show.

Thanks for the replies. What do you think of blue or black jeans cuffed with grey fair isle socks with the trainers? To make it Look like the socks are part of the outfit
