What shoes?

Hi, I need shoes for school run and everyday wear round the house. I have nice shoes and boots for shopping and nice things for going out. This is casual for school run and everyday wear. They are to wear with jeans etc. Daughter suggested new balance trainers? Do I listen to her or do I have another suggestion?
