Which red for me???

Just seen a picture of my friend in red lipstick it looks amazing.

I am cool toned. Blonde hair (but brownish undertones) with green eyes - which red lipstick would suit me?

I'm mid 40's. :0(

Nothing with an orange undertone.

Look for something with a plum undertone.

Not everyone suits red lipstick TBH. I am a pale summer and any red just looks overpowering on me.

3littlefrogs - look up Maybelline Hollywood Red. 'Faded' reds look great on Summers. I think it's been discontinued over here but is available elsewhere, you can get it cheaply on ebay.

OP sounds like you might be a Summer so try that out?

Also for red lipsticks that are too bright/saturated, try a silvery lipgloss over the top to tone it down.

Oops sorry for the triple post - Hollywood Red hasn't been discontinued here, Boots does it at least online.

A bit more expensive, but I bet Guerlain Rouge G in Garconne would look stunning on you, OP.

Bright reds that are a tad bluish work on me - I'm a 40+ cool-toned green-eyed blonde. My current favorite bright red is Kiko Velvet Mat #606 Fire Red. I wear this shade a couple of times per week, it really lifts gray and neutral outfits.

Am I allowed to hijack the thread and what red would suit me? I wear ivory foundation but have rosy cheeks, blue eyes and light brown highlighted hair. Any idea? I love the red lip look so much but have never found the perfect shade.

I haven't found a red lipstick which 100% suits me, but yesterday I found the most gorgeous red lip gloss in M&S. I even took a pic so I could put it on the family secret santa list.
