great coat with hood

Does it exist? I need a warm coat that has a big hood to keep me dry during the school run (whilst pushing a buggy). Where do I look? Needs to be practical but I still want to look good, too!

I had the exact same problem...

Depends on budget but seasalt do waterproof (not just shower proof coats).
Only thing is that I am size 10 normally, 5'4 and not skinny and I find the size 8 quite big - the macs are fine, as they are thin and the waist can be drawn in. However, the winter coats are thicker and even with the waist drawn in, I look bulky (and short).
So, summer/spring/autumn is sorted but the winter coat remains elusive for me.

I just bought a lovely duffle style coat with a fur hood from Primark, £25. So warm! Lovely and long, deep pockets.
I know Primark isn't amazing quality (although stuff I've bought from there in the past has lasted quite a while) but if its just something to throw on whilst running to the school, its perfect.
