Can I ask you what you think of these dresses?

Apparently velvet is in ( again )! Saw these dresses on eBay and I quite like them but since I wore velvet the first ( and second ) time round, they look dated to me! Wondered what the style gurus though of them? I love the style as they would suit my body shape, it's more the fabric.

Also, why are they so bloody cheap..?

i love the shape of the dresses but the fabric looks awful. In better fabric i'm sure they would be lovely though
