Love the photo of your 'boy', Herbs, I do like black cats. Still missing Nucat here. DH and I are having a bit of a disagreement because I have said DS can bring his two cats when the family come to stay in the New Year. I don't think they can put them into a chattery for several months.

I never eBay anything, I just assume people won't want my things; we do use free cycle and charity collections, though. Good luck with your Christmas sales, Crem.

Our trip to Ilkley has just been postponed, the new baby has tongue tie so is having it dealt with tomorrow and our friends, who are the GPs, are looking after the older child. Fingers crossed we can reschedule for next week.

I am sitting around a pool with a group of v nice gals (including one who works for MN). I am so devoted to my work.

motherinferior · 06/11/2015 16:05

You can see how hard I'm working

NUFC69 · 06/11/2015 16:09

It's really hard work what you do, MI! I think you need to go and lie down (preferably with a drink in your hand). Enjoy.

Collymollypuff · 06/11/2015 16:16

MI, pinch the MNHQer's password, and Reveal All. Grin

MI - looks fab - do come back with all the gossip and tell us where you are.

Crem - I used to love those velvet coats Boden used to do - if you have a purple velvet one size 14 I'll have it (always regretted not buying about 3 years ago).

Herbs - beautiful cat but would probably make me sneeze I can only be around short haired non pedigree types. Lovely doggie as well - I would love a dog (sigh) but I dont think I could look after it properly as we're always darting about left right and centre.

Had another lovely lunch (second this week). I think I'll have to cut back but I do like catching up with people (and am incapable of eating just salad).

DD1 contacted me to say she has gained 9kg since she went back to uni but she thinks it's just muscle Hmm. She did add that her bottom was slightly fuller Grin. I suspect it was a male who advised her of that.

motherinferior · 06/11/2015 17:35

Am in the Algarve. It's a bit...golfy but the house is v nice. Not really my income bracket for holidays! And I'm not really a resort-y type.

bigTillyMint · 06/11/2015 17:41

Hatty, I am a fellow pet-sneezer. I only realised that I was allergic when I went to uni and all my sneezing stopped (we had a very moulty lab retriever and then cat)

Hatty, is she training (hence muscle) and did she need to put on a bit?

MI, you lucky thing - how long for?

hattymattie · 06/11/2015 18:13

Sounds alright to me MI - have fun Smile.

BTM - don't think she needed to put on anything but she does kick boxing and swimming. I know when I do gym I eat more and then with winter I tend to eat even more! In summer when the gym is shut and I eat less I do tend to lose weight. Still 9 kg seems a lot.

motherinferior · 06/11/2015 18:22

You MUST check out the 'the guide dog sat on me' thread. Especially Molly, Stropps and Beachy..

Collymollypuff · 06/11/2015 19:22

Is it in AIBU? I have that hidden.

Crem, are you going to Herbs' bash? If so, would you like to bring me the cute goat come and stay then? You would be very welcome. and the goat Smile

Yes I saw that MI!

Collymollypuff · 06/11/2015 19:41

Oh, I've read it now, in Chat. Aww. I want an assistance dog. Or any dog that is trained. Mythical Kings is a song (and album?) by Dory Previn, so the OP must be a fan. Smile

OP posts:
Collymollypuff · 06/11/2015 19:44

I've just thought - you know they have assistance dogs for anxiety? They could have depression dogs...black ones...the dogs just have to follow on your heels all day long, looking sad and a bit desperate.

BTM ongoing thread about the neighbour. In short, it just gets worse and no-one is interested.

I am beginning to feel that I will never get to grips with my new job.

Lalsy · 06/11/2015 21:15

MrsS, your poor thing. I am sure you will get the hang of the job, but it is awfully hard to have the neighbour thing to worry about and wear you down at the same time. Is your MP the same as mine (I am thinking maybe you are the same borough but a different constituency?) The council claims the whopping cuts it is making are so it can continue to safeguard children and vulnerable adults - their failure could be a story??).

Collymollypuff · 06/11/2015 21:35

I would do an email to the Chair of Soc Servs, copied in to all the members of Soc Servs Cttee, plus the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Council. Hopefully it will then become a political football. I have done this - not on a Soc Servs issue. It was fun getting responses. Grin

Collymollypuff · 06/11/2015 21:37

Football in the sense that they all fall over themselves to do the right thing - not that your poor annoying neighbour becomes one.

We're all getting progressively dead, rudy.

Just returned from lively evening out in GGG's favourite hostelry. With dearest chums. From 1990 until a couple of years ago we'd see each other every day, week, or few weeks, but of late sits been a couple of months between meetings. We have agreed to ramp up the frequency.

You can tell we're getting old. We had three bottles of red between four, and rather than having another, for the bill and went off to bed/home.

NUFC69 · 07/11/2015 08:28

My trip down to Yorkshire has been postponed: the new baby has tongue tie and his parents are taking him to hospital so that it can be dealt with today. Poor wee thing, but at least it's being dealt with.

Now at a loose end for the day and can't decide what to do, although Christmas present shopping is whispering to me. It's a typical November day: wet and very grey, that really makes me want to curl up with a good book, but no doubt DH will think we have to DO something.
