Have to say I've found the opposite! I've sent things back to size up and my kids aren't huge!

BikeRunSki · 31/10/2015 22:20

I'd say true to size. My DC are both huge, and both wear a "year size" older.

The next reply shall be the deciding factor ......

true to size

Pico2 · 31/10/2015 22:33

DD's just got an outfit and it fits the same as most of her other clothes, so I'd say true to size.

TimeToMuskUp · 31/10/2015 22:34

I buy a size up but can't decide if it's because my DCs are gigantors. I suspect they are.

One thing I have found, though, the holes in jumpers and t-shirts for boys have very small head holes and DS2 has an enormous head, almost like an orange on a toothpick, so if you have over-generously-headed offspring definitely size up.

Nearlyadoctor · 31/10/2015 23:01

My DD is fairly average and I always size up ie: she's now 8 and have just bought her a dress and two tops in 9-10 years.

nancy75 · 31/10/2015 23:03

DD is small and I buy a size or sometimes 2 bigger than her age, The right size is always too small in their stuff

Pippioddstocking · 31/10/2015 23:25

I always size up and my dd is tiny .

Silvertap · 01/11/2015 08:41

Would so agree with the small head hole. My ds runs around shrieking "too small & tight" when he sees a joules top - but when I wrestle him into it it's always way too long!

Thank you everyone. I won't risk it, will hopefully visit a shop soon and will measure up for myself. Grin
