I would like to buy a friend some nice shampoo and conditioner for their birthday, does anyone have any recommendations?

I have a budget of about £35

I love Davines Nounou. It really does fab things for my hair.

Davines do a whole range of hair care stuff, but Nounou is a good all rounder.

Kerastase Discipline range is perfect for thick longish hair. It is anti frizz the difference from high street brands is extraordinary.

I hate aveda so it isn't for everyone. I also don't rate the liz Earle shampoos.

I'm currently using Schwarzkopf for colour which I like and will probably buy again but my "regular" is Philip Kingsley.

L'occitaine isn't bad I got given a travel set for Christmas and have liked it.

I believe Loreal Professional (you can buy it in Sallys) is the same as Kerastase but cheaper.
