Loose perms - madness?

I have poker straight, soft, shiny hair. It's very flat and needs styling to look decent.

I'm wondering if it'd be possible to have a loose perm to give it some life. I actually love it when I've waved my hair and it really suits me, but curls tend to drop out after an hour or two no matter how long the curlers have been in or how much hair spray I've used!

Do you have two threads running at the same time about this?

My hairdressers offers something called Momoko Digital Curling which I think is what you're describing. However it's really expensive! May be worth Googling?

yes google digital perm, that will actually give you loose curls and not poodle hair
