Suits for long men???

Hi, totally need some suit advice.... . my husband is very tall 6'5 and takes 38" inside leg and 25" arms so he needs bigger than average suits... Jackets never fit.... Arghh there are no high Street stores that can accommodate him and so far every outlet has suggested that we get one tailor made, which isn't going to happen as he needs about 4 new suits.

Did anybody else accidentally marry a long skinny type that won't fit standard suits?

At the moment, we're considering going to Germany or ordering from a German manufacturer... Has anybody done this?

long trousers potentially here. Comes up slim and long in the jacket accotding to reviews. You could order the jacket first (with a discount) and if you like it then order trousers hemmed as you want them?

My similarly shaped DH gets his suits from Charles Tyrwhitt.

There usually seems to be some sort of offer on if you buy online and they are very helpful at doing minor alterations and finishing hems at their shop in London.
They also do shirts with 4" extra arm length.

Thanks guys.... My husband scoffed when I said I'd ask the sisterhood..... But as usual, you came up with the goods.

My dh is 6'8" and has a couple of nice Marks and Spencer suits. They do long legs and long jackets. He hasn't got particularly long arms though.

The other place we have bought from is ebay. He has got a couple of really nice suits, worn once type of thing.

Jacamo have Pierre Cardin suits with XL jackets and 35' trousers, and High and Mighty are also worth a try

My tall dh gets all his suits from TM Lewin - trousers can be hemmed to length needed, and they can also lengthen sleeves on suit jackets. They have a great alterations and repairs service, so I definitely recommend them. The constant sales and offers are a bonus

Problem is his legs are 38" which means he needs unhemmed trousers....Micronesia, I'm intrigued by 6'8..... What's his leg length pls?

Ah, well he has short legs compared to his height. A 33" leg is usually long enough, his height is all in his back length so he struggles to get tops to stay tucked in. The M&S long jackets fit him well though.
