Question about primer

If I use a moisturiser, sunblock and a primer before foundation, will that not be too heavy? At the moment I use a moisturiser, sunblock and then foundation and find that by midday I have to touch up foundation. I would like to make it last at least until 5pm.
Would I achieve this with a primer?
I have combination skin with a tendency to dry skin on cheeks, sometimes oily t-zone and slightly spotty chin.
I don't want the spots to get worse, and I don't want the foundation to sink into my pores.
What primer would you lovely ladies recommend?

Id just go with a primer, the Barry m one is a good high street one.
I paid a fortune for a younique one and it's not half as good.
I also have similar skin and find the oil control lotion from dermalogica really helps me

What about a BB cream with sunblock?

I use one with SPF 20, and it has the same effect as primer when I use foundation over the top, but also works like tinted moisturiser so I quite often wear it on its own.

I can't be arsed with moisturiser and sunblock so just go with sunblock. I tend to oily skin which doesn't really need loads more moisture and it's enough for me. It cuts down the layers.

I wear just primer and sometimes a powder..otherwise it all slides off

I'm naught and don't wear sunblock Shock

I have quite dry skin so I moisturise then use this MAC primer. Leave for a couple of minutes then put on foundation.

This is the only primer I have found that suits my skin. My foundation stays in all day, I sometimes use powder to set if my skin has oily patches i.e. t-zone.

With all those layers I would get spots
I do moisturiser with some low spf ,primer plus concealer and a little powder with spf
Personally I don't think spf it a good idea as it never really protects that well for very long. But that is another discussion!

How often do you moisurise? I just put mine on before I go to bed, don't bother in the morning.
