hello everyone
my hair is coloured had one colour of highlight in few parts of my hair asked it for subtle caramel look and was a tad too light but ok ish
washed it few times and looked brassy and became really dry and brittle
went back to hairdressers (gosh they dont like that do they!) its now darker with a tinge of dark red which used to be the highlights but the colour is very intense and doesnt suit my pale complexion (had it done thursday evening)- i am so upset and look and feel a mess how i do at least make it look less intense- please has anyone give me any ideas loathed to put another colour on but is it just a case of waiting it to fade? dont know why i bothered with highlights never again
thank you

Toner will help add an ash tone and purple shampoo. It's such a shame I would go back and ask for a refund to go somewhere else to fix it.

Fact is they messed up and you hate it, demand a refind

Refund sorry

Depends what they coloured it with as to how much it will fade. You could try shampooing it with fairy liquid to strip some colour, but I think you probably will have to have the colour corrected professionally as bleached hair holds colour... Go back again and ask the senior colourist why it has happened and what they can do to correct it. If you are not happy then ask for a refund to get it corrected elsewhere. See if you can find a hairdresser using olaplex which will rebuild your brittle hair after all the colouring. Good luck.

I have had very red highlights which came out too bright and I felt really self-conscious, but luckily they very quickly (like a few days) faded and looked much better and more natural. I'd just wash your hair a lot (head and shoulders is supposed to be good for this, not sure if it's true) and wear a hat!

but put me in a hairdressers i quake in my boots the thought of having to ask for refund how mad is that! but needs must and go back i will
your comments have all helped x
