My sister in law loves nail art. She paints the fingers on her left hand, takes photos and adds them to Instagram. They're intricate and she has a bit of an online world with it (according to BIL). I'd like to get her something she can use for this for Christmas but have no idea what.

Anyone got any ideas?

Brushes, polish (not anything that's gel like as too thick), stamping sets, all available from Claire's Accessories. Also acrylic paints. I do nail art and would be chuffed with any of that.

This?

An appt with someone like Nancy McNails (works at Not Another Salon on Brick lane in London) so she can get her other hand done too!

One of those pump-action bottles where you press a cotton pad against the top and the nail polish remover squirts out?

Tkmaxx has got loads of ciate, opi and nails inc nail varnish kits - they would make a lovely gift. Smile

This kind of thing - it isn’t too expensive but if you wanted to add to it you could get a glass file or two, some nail oil, varnish remover etc.

You genius people! I knew I could rely on mumsnet :)

My sister-in-law is like this and I always buy her a single Chanel polish for gifts. Such good quality and come so beautifully packaged feels like a treat. Plus they have the best classic colours and gorgeous limited edition ranges.

dynevoran · 23/10/2015 20:02

Kate that kit is lovely.

Have a look at WAH nails stuff. Boots do sets and there are books that I have seen in urban outfitters. I have a nail-art-obsessed friend and she loves it!

PotteringAlong · 24/10/2015 08:15

Thanks ppandj I'm going into town today and there's a huge boots so I'll look!

Definitely a stamping set from www.moyou.co.uk

Rafaella · 25/10/2015 15:42

Those Moyou sets look great - do they work well?

ForSaleChesterDraws · 25/10/2015 16:08

I've not tried them as my nails aren't nice enough but there are tonnes of nail stamping tutorials on YouTube. If you are able to do neat manicures at home then I assume you will be fine.

dynevoran · 28/10/2015 14:12

Yes those sets are amazing. I have a set from China a few years ago and the patterns aren't so good but it's time consuming but easy to do.
