Breast Reduction with Garrick Georgeu at The Cadogan Clinic

I have a breast reduction booked in for the beginning of December. Has anyone had it done at The Cadogan Clinic with Garrick Georgeu? What were your experiences like?

Could I also ask anyone else who has had a breast reduction what the recovery was like and how long it took you to get back to normal? What is scarring like? Could you give me an idea of what to expect on day and weeks following?

Thanks in advance.

Didn't have mine done at that clinic but.....recovery is much easier than you'd imagine. I was off the painkillers within 36 hours. You will feel like your skin is super tight for weeks and you'll feel very vulnerable to anyone accidentally bumping you but it's all manageable. The one main thing for me though is this - INSIST that the surgeon go small. My surgeon did an outstanding job and I have incredible breasts now but if I could do it again, I'd be even smaller. This is a common problem. Have you been on Real Self?

Two of my sisters have had reductions (neither at the Cadogan) and I am also seriously considering one. I contacted the Cadogan Clinic via research online and they recommended Garrick. One of my sisters went with the most expensive surgeon and was very unhappy with her result (thick scarring that will never disappear) whilst the other sister went with the first surgeon she consulted and had a fantastic result! So it is very difficult to choose; also worth remembering that internet searches require a lot of time and effort to get beyond the first few pages of glowing reviews! Having this op would mean giving up my holiday time and so I would be thrilled if you could add what you think of Dr Garrick after your operation!

Thanks so much for your comments. Yes I have been on Real Self Truckingalong it is both informative and scary!

I had my consultation last Friday. I have to say I feel very excited and nervous as it is such a big procedure, Mr Georgeu was informative, kind and has good recommendations. I do trust him. He explained everything very clearly and was very patient. But as with anything like this I am a bit anxious - I have never done anything like this in my life! I feel vain and it is a lot of money... I'll be going from a 34G and though he can't tell yet what size I would end up, I'll probably lose half, so go down to a D cup most likely. I want some boobs, but just in proportion to me! But I really can't cope with the bad posture, back pain etc anymore... My main concern is recovery with 2 small children, especially around Christmas, but my husband will be able to help.

I'll keep you posted Bettybeep I am also taking annual leave from work, before the Christmas break to enable me to have 3 weeks at home before the start of the new year and being back at work. I make the full payment today so I guess there is no backing out now!

Just wondering if you have any updates on your surgery? I've had consultations with Mr Georgeu and am interested to find out how it went?

Has anyone used prof James Frame plastic surgeon for breast revision? Has anyone had their revision at the Chelmsford clinic? And what were your experience like?

cookiemonster104 · 25/09/2024 09:33

@ThreeBecameFour did you have it done by Dr Garrick at Cadogen? How was the experience. Want to know more about the scars and healing.

ThreeBecameFour · 25/09/2024 16:45

Yes I did. It was in 2015 and the best thing I ever did for myself. Since then I have run marathons and my posture and general mental health and self image is so much better. I do have scars but many years later you wouldn't notice them unless you look closely. Happy to answer questions

Thanks so much, Wish I find a good surgeon soon.
Any recommendations where I can get it done for 6000-7000£ (approx)?

cookiemonster104 · 07/01/2025 22:54

Thanks for the really helpful posts.
I am going in for mine on 21st Jan at Cadogan clinic.. would love to hear any reviews about the clinic and Dr. William Van Neikerk.

Please share some tips on what to take care of and did anyone get tested for their Vitamins and minerals before the surgery?
