hair gadgets for 12 yr old?

Dsd loves 'doing' her hair, we'd like to get her her own hair stuff such as a hair dryer and tongs or straighteners, she's not the most careful so we don't want to spend a fortune but don't know what to get.

Any ideas appreciated

Long or short hair? What hair type has she got? Curly/straight, oily/dry etc.

Long thick hair pretty straight..she's eyeing my ghds I don't think so !

If it's very long, how about some different hair accessories? So she can do different things with it.
