Best dressed TV characters

I'm in the middle of Season (hate that word, what's wrong with series?) 3 of House of Cards, and have been so distracted by Clare Underwood's wardrobe I've slightly lost track of the plot. Those sharp shift dresses are a joy to behold, and there was a rather stylish cream polo neck which I keep thinking about.

Does anyone else watch TV shows purely to lust after outfits? Or is it just me...?

(I remember having a similar obsession with the main characters in the House of Elliot when I was a teenager, but it was a 'costume' drama so fair game for outfit drooling).

I'm loving Carrie in Homeland this season. Her leather jacket is to die for.

I quite like Clara's outfits on Doctor Who. In a previous series I think I had a very similar checked skirt/skort that she had and was quite chuffed.

When I watched Alias always looked forward to Jennifer Garner's outfits. Although I wouldn't actually wear many of them as they were quite OTT and much as I like to kid myself I don't have her figure.

Jessica in Suits. Gorgeous, gorgeous workwear. Waaaay outside my budget, but since she's supposed to be a partner in an American law firm, presumably well within hers...

Second Jessica in Suits. Can't help looking about both her and Rachel's clothes with a certain amount of envy!

Diane in The Good Wife - again, a partner in a law firm. I would love to dress/have style like that when I am her age

When I saw the title of this tread I immediately thought of Clare Underwood! With you on that one.

Agree, Jessica on Suits and Cuddy on House are others I think are particularly stylish.

I liked all the silk shirts and pencil skirts that Gillian Anderson wore in The Fall.

I came to say Jessica in Suits, I see it's something of a bandwagon!

I loved the way betty draper dressed in mad men, specially in season1&2, she wore some amazing clothes,its completely the opposite of my style, but they were really incredible, and looked very well made,the details, expensive fabric which suited her character, even Sally draper clothes were really beautiful,

I like Carla's wardrobe in Corrie. I would also like her face and figure but she can keep the foghorn voice

I was coming on to say Clare Underwood, also Alisha in The Good Wife.

Diane in The Good Wife has nice outfits, but wears lipstick that is too orange/red for my liking. Alisha in TGW is also good, but it's Kalinda I really want to look like. Best inspiration to diet.
I watch Eastenders all the time, but all the women in that wear really horrible clothes :(

Olivia in Scandal always looks awesome in black and white. I love Jessica and Rachel in Suits too.

That's it, I'm off to order box sets of The Good Wife and Suits. Not, of course, that I base my choice of TV viewing on the fashion.....

YY to Kalinda in The Good Wife. She has great leather jackets and boots.

DH is a casual viewer and would always ask "Does this episode have Kalinda in it?"

The men in hats in Foyles war - most period dramas, but that especially. Love it!
