High arches causing foot and ankle pain.....

Are there any insoles or something to help with this problem? Wore some new boots today, slight heel nothing major and I was in agony! I have a high arch which aches a lot and because the pressure is on ball of my foot and my heel due to the high arch these are also sore. My ankle aches too :(
Any suggestions? Just paid £100 for my boots :(

I'd be interested to hear people's solutions. My physiology recommended old trainer (proper running trainers) insoles, which does help me a bit, but my feet are still upset about coming out of the summer birkies!

Oh dear. Dr. Scholls makes insoles for that. Also, tight calf muscles cause the pain in the arch. Try standing with toes on edge of stair and let heels drop. Done daily, this stretches the calf muscle and relieves the pain in the arch. Or, at least for me it does.

Best wishes with the boots!

Motisen - dd has to do that stair excercise to help with her balket as she has high arches & tight Achilles.

balletgirlmum - yes, it helps a lot - and for a dancer, definitely would not want arch pain. Otherwise ... entrechat ...ouch ... entrechat ... ouch.

You might be able to get referred to a podiatrist at your local hospital.- I have the opposite problem and have custom made insoles.
