Where are all the nice, interesting cardigans?

You know those cardigans that finish off a plain vest and skinny jeans and make the whole look a little funkier?

Anyone found any?

No, I haven't seen any either. And I'm desparate for a longish one too. I'm 5'8", and yearn after those lovely boyfriend ones that Boden used to do. So handy for slipping over a vest etc.

I have resorted to knitting myself one - something I'm quite capable of doing but have never yet been driven to! I want a nice chunky knit boyfriend one, but one that is stylish enough to not make me look homeless and grubby.

Try zara, they sometimes have long cardigans/ coatingans ;) that look a bit more interesting.

teacher1984 · 16/10/2015 21:53

I haven't looked at Zara - I will, thanks :)

Some of the poses etc in woolovers make me cringe but I've got two of the cashmere/merino blend cardis in a gorgeous teal blue and a mustard yellow. They are soft, warm and last well between washes. Zara ones are good but not as great quality, synthetic. Good luck

Bunbaker · 16/10/2015 23:23

Talking about Woolovers, I have been looking at their jumpers. The sleeve length seems rather short at 18". Does anyone find their sleeves too short?

FundraisingPTABitch · 17/10/2015 00:09

what do you think about this?

Banana republic. Uniqlo. Gap. French connection. Depends on what you like. I have a lovely topshop long cardi its tweedy with a ribbon edging looks so nice

southeastastra · 17/10/2015 09:21

I also have s long grey coatish cardi from Zara it is warm I wear in place of coat. Great plains good too. Sorry can't link atm

One of my favourite cardigans is from New Look. It is a lovely sea green colour, and long with pockets. The arms are fairly tight and I can get it on easily over a short sleeve T-shirt, but struggle with long sleeve shirts and T-shirts. I don't have fat arms either.

faustina · 17/10/2015 10:53

Plumo, but they're quite £££

faustina · 17/10/2015 10:54

oh and Maison Scotch!

TheSpottedZebra · 17/10/2015 10:58

I'm liking Woolovers at the mo too, wih the standard caution about their horrendous Nanna-styling!
Bunbaker I've not found the sleeve length too short, and I'm quite tall. You know it's the under-arm, not over-arm length, right?

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 17/10/2015 11:30

I've got a nice tan cardigan that's more like a coat from Zara, it has that fluffy wool stuff along the lapels and a big hood. It's really soft and snugly, I aren't usually a cardigan person but I love this one.

Bunbaker · 17/10/2015 11:32

I know the measurement is under the arm on Woolovers. I measured some of my jumpers and they are longer than that. I also have quite long arms.

I might just risk it and order the one I like the look of.

jelliebelly · 17/10/2015 11:48

Plumo looks lovely - am off to browse!
