Help me find a winter coat please

My last one was a pared back Reiss number (Angel) that I bought on ebay, but the wool has worn threadbare and the lining is in shreds Blush

I like classical cuts that ideally come down to the knee and have some waist definition or are at least A line. Most of the stuff in the shops seems to be cut like a barrel. I also need the coat to look smart enough for office (suit wearing environment) but survive the playground where I take my toddler straight after work, so very delicate colours are out. And I am always freezing so I need it to be warm and with a high neck closing. And not mumsy please :)

I have browsed lots of online shops (my only option) but could not find anything I really liked in a reasonable price bracket. Any style savvy souls who have been browsing coats as well and might have recommendations?

What is your budget? Black wool coat?

My budget depends on how durable the coat is likely to be. I don't normally buy a coat every winter (as may be suspected from the fact that I've worn the current one threadbare!). I'd really like it to be under 250 pounds. But I could go a bit higher if it's really good quality. Black wool would be fine. (I have a pair of black boots and a pair of deep cognac ones that I alternate through winter that I'd wear with the coat.)
