Jeans: Levi's or something else?

I am feeling the need for some new jeans.

I will admit that up to now I generally buy from Topshop and New Look. The ones I'm wearing now are New Look ones but they're a little bit too bright blue iykwim.

I was thinking of upgrading and getting some Levis or similar, but I don't know if they're actually any good or if you're just paying for the name.

For the record I'm 5'1, so short leg length is a must, size 10, wanting skinny jeans in a darkish denim. Any recommendations?

I bought some Levi's in the boot cut recently but they don't seem to do anything less than 30" in length so be prepared to take them up.

They may still have a few pairs left. Also check the levis website. The material is nowhere near as sturdy as my 501s bought back in the 90s as a teenager. Sadly, they don't for me anymore.
