Ditching fake tan for winter....

GreyBird84 · 14/10/2015 22:09

I usually tan once a week, have done for about 15years.
It makes my skin more even, hides acne scars & sports plus helps me feel slimmer.

But I would love to look half decent ?ithout it! & now it's autumn its really only going to be my face on show so it's a good time to experiment.

How do I achieve that lovely creamy pale skin look on my oily blotchy acne skin?

I currently use la Roche posey, glycerol pads & bare minerals solid foundation.

Just do less brown?

GreyBird84 · 14/10/2015 22:14

I would like to go totally fake tan free if possible - so I guess I'm really asking for skincare & make up tips to help my skin look naturally blemish free & pure if that makes sense....may well be a losing battle!

I wouldn't say I go very dark with tan but I would just like a break for a while.

Creaks won't do that.

I know a break from wearing fake tan wont change my skin - it was like this before I started fake tanning.
I am asking if anyone knows of other ways of making my skin look better?
Either skincare or make up.

what is your cleansing routine like? You said you use la roche posay? I think salicylic acid toner is great for oily skin, nip and fab pads might be a good place to start? i also found a real improvement using a cloth to hot cloth cleanse my face, it really improved the tone and evened out my skin. if you dont already you could add using a cloth to remove your cleanser?

have you looked at tinted moisturiser or a bb cream for more coverage?

Try a nice creamy tinted moisturiser, Chantacaille Just Skin and Laura Mercier ones are nice. You can always warm it up a bit with a light bronzer - Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil is amazing for pale skin, light and completely matte.

I use the nip & fab Glycolic Fix Pads, maybe I should have bought Salicylic instead?
I do have muslin cloths, I will start using them regularly.

I think that's what I need, a gd BB cream for coverage & a glow then I can use my BM to set it a bit.

Im heading into town tomorrow & I think I will look for a BB or tinted moisturiser and a new blusher or bronzer that will work when pale.

Thanks for the suggestions!
