Hope I'm posting in the right section!
I've always wanted my nipple pierced and have decided to take he plunge
Has anyone any experience of it? Would you recommend it or say no way?
Also bar or ring??

Definitely a bar. I had my right one pierced a few years ago. Didn't hurt apart from a quick sharp shock.

Lovely
That's what I wanted to hear
Thank you

Bar at least til it's healed. Excruciating but only for half a second - then sore for a few days. Good luck!

Bar I had a fab one with diamonds, loved my piercing gutted I had to take it out to breastfeed!

TurnipCake · 14/10/2015 18:11

Bar, definitely. Hurts like nothing else for a split second, then it's fine.

LoveAGoodRummage · 14/10/2015 18:22

Another vote for the bar Grin Easier to keep it clean and minimise infection. Short, sharp pain lasts for a second or two and then I was sore for about a week. Accidentally slept on it one night which didn't help... I'm about two months down the line and I haven't had any issues so far.

Bar, it didn't find it painful until I opened a door and battered it off my new piercing.
I did change to a hoop once it was healed and quickly changed back to a bar as I just think it looks nicer.

Thanks all
I like the idea of a diamond one!

Mine are years gone now, but another vote for bar. The pain was an OH FUCK! but honestly only lasted a second. I don't remember them being painful at all the rest of the day.

One thing though I found is that minute fibres from my bra would wind around the bar and irritate the piercing. Its not a big deal but you have to keep an eye on that. I bought spray antiseptic and at the first sign of irritation would give them a spray and twist the bars and they'd be fine again.

Bar 100% and don't get your nipple numbed. It can temporarily distort the shape and then when it wears off, you are left with a wonky nipple piercing!

Annarose2014 · 14/10/2015 18:41

Oh god, the shower loofah things - I'd forgotten!

Yes they do NOT mix with nipple piercings. I almost ripped my whole nipple off on a couple of occasions!

MouldyPeach · 14/10/2015 18:43

I've had to take mine out now I'm pregnant and miss them :( didn't hurt at all having it done, took a big breath in and exhaled as the needle went through, didn't feel a thing.
