Can anyone recommend a good compact foundation?

I'm off on a short family break over half term, and am trying to cut down on the amount of stuff I would usually take on holiday.

So, I'm thinking of a compact foundation, to hopefully do away with the need for a separate foundation and powder and all the associated brushes.

Can anyone recommend a good compact foundation? I have combination (verging on oily) skin.

Thank you!

Maybe not quite what you are looking for as it is a "wet" foundation in a compact case but I have recently tried Lancôme miracle cushion and loved it!

Clinique's Almost Powder makeup foundation (in a compact) works for me. Just the right amount of coverage, but you can layer it (I put more on my forehead to act as a sun block when out walking).
A budget alternative is the BD Trade Secrets powder foundation from Tesco - a really excellent product, often on 3 for 2. (This is the range started by Barbara Daly).

I've tried lots but the one I always go back to and repurchase is Max Factor Facefinity.

Yy to Max Factor Facefinity. It's lovely.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions so far - i think a trip around the beauty halls (and Tesco too) is called for, to try some of these out Smile

I like No7 Stay Perfect compact. I like how I can get a good match to my skin from it. No7 on But1Get1HalfPrice at the mo too.

I got the Number 7 one and I really like it. It does seem to be shrinking very quickly though.
