a good facial oil

I have always used Neals Yard Rose facial oil in winter and found it to be wonderfully hydrating. This year, however, I have inexplicably developed an aversion to the smell!! Can anyone recommend a great facial oil that isn't rose based?? I use it in winter to counteract drying from central heating etc - use only at night.

I use Boots botanics one.
Smells quite lemony, I use it at night

Yes, I like it, I've not tried any others to compare it too, but for the money cant complain.

Decleor do some really nice ones! if you have a concession or store near you can go in and have a chat and they usually give you quite generous samples to try out if you are not sure

I use a Clarins one. It's not cheap, although compared to some it is, and obviously you only need a tiny bit. One good thing about it is, it has a dropper, so it's easy to take the tiny bit you actually need, rather than having to gingerly tip the bottle up, and hope it doesn't all gush out.

It's a sort of herbal smell - it's certainly not rose scented.

I like Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Oil.

I like Sunday Riley Juno, but it has a smell which can only be described as distinctive. My skin has never looked better, but the smell isn't a highpoint of the brand...

Claris Blue Orchid, or Liz Earle superskin both smell amazing, and do lovely things for my skin which is very prone to dryness and dehydration.

MV Organics or Tata Harper Replenishing Nutrient rollerball thingy are the best ones I've tried, but I do also like the Boots Botanics one and Good Things argan oil is nice as well.

Thank you everyone - I will read up on all of these. I used to love Rose but I am really off it for some reason (eyes up JM Red Roses cologne in cabinet!!)

I'm going to Harvey Nichols tomorrow so will look for some of these. I have used retinol in the past too but there is something so lovely about lashing on facial oil in the winter!

Try Decleor neroli oil or if you can stretch to it Sisley black rose oil - both are fantastic. Another good oil based product is sarah chapman overnight facial

I'm using the L'Oreal oil at the moment as a money saving exercise (instead of Liz Earle), I don't like the L'Oreal one at all and wouldn't recommend.
