What's the secret to pulling this look off without looking like a nun or like I'm hiding hair loss??

Well the woman in that photo looks awful.

They can definitely work. I wear them rockabilly style with my hair up. I think it would look a bit odd if you didn't have that retro look going on though.

I had a Uni friend that wore those bandana things in the late 90s. Looked great on her but never suited me either.
