I'm a bit stumped and already own this dress so it would be useful if it were but I'm worried it's a bit 'look at me' because it is gold. I would wear it with black sandals and a black overcoat. Any suggestions otherwise?

I think it's lovely op

It's lovely. Don't worry about it. As long as the dress isn't white no one will give a hoot.

(Unless there is any chance the bride is likely to have chosen to wear gold herself, or have the bridesmaids in gold)

It's lovely. Wear it definitely.

I think it would look great, but you say you'll be wearing a coat with it. I would also get a little black shrug in case it's not warm enough for sleeveless in the indoor parts of the wedding.

Yes!!! I know it might sound a bit 'risque' but it would look very gorgeous with some thigh high velour boots and a coat or jacket the same length as the dress itself.... black or chocolate would look lovely. Hope this helps! Love the dress X
