Is Toast clothing good quality or just branding?

I like the look of some of the jumpers/tunics but they are ££. Are their clothes worth the money? I like the whole look of the womenswear stuff, a bit traditional, a bit quirky and not overly frilly/feminine.

What other companies are similar?

Cos is a cheaper version of a similar idea. Some things by Cos both are and look cheap, some are better quality.

Everything I have by Toast is superb quality, lovely fabrics and finishing, attention to detail in the making and cutting. (Though I've sent stuff back that didn't feel quite up to scratch.) Their sales are very good.

A lot of their stuff isn't my stule but I bought two cotton Tshirts from them last summer. The price nearly killed me but they were in colours that I couldn't find anywhere else plus I was sick of cheap Ts that lost their shape after a couple of washes. They've worn really well and I'll probably buy another couple next year.
I've also had one of their merino wool dresses for at least 8 years and it still looks good.
So from my - extremely limited - experience I would say they were ££ but good quality.

Toast is amazing quality, really genuinely good IME.

Generally really good quality finishing and ethically sourced materials but they do like to slap a dry clean only label on a lot of stuff which puts me off. Also, I don't rate their knitwear, I found if bobbles really quickly.

Their sales are excellent, sign up for the previews though as stuff sells really quickly.

I have a cardigan that is about 8 yrs old and looks new

It's amazing quality! I bought two coats in the archive sale 8 years ago, both 90% off the rrp and I am still wearing them now. They look brand new and have absolutely no signs of wear. The only issue for me with Toast clothes (mainly, but not always) is the Latvian goat herder look just isn't for me, and that style applies to a lot of Toast stuff.

I have a jumper dress from 4yrs ago which I wear loads in the winter. Beautiful quality and looks like new. I have sent back a few things due to sizing but all lovely quality stuff. Their sales are excellent but you have to get in quick, things go really fast.
