Lip enhancement.

Has anyone had lip fillers or similar? I'm liking the idea of it, but I don't have thin lips at the moment, so I'm worried they will end up ginormous.

I would basically like them slightly plumper as my eyes are way too big for my face and I think I'd look more in proportion of lips were bigger too. I also would like my lips more 'forward' on a sideways angle. I've attached a pic that shows my mouth to be a bit set back - hard to explain what I mean.

Would lip fillers be for me? Does anyone have any experiences to share ie costs, recovery time etc.

Thanks.

Oh god please don't
Lip fillers are so gross. You already have a nice mouth

NotTodaySatan · 12/10/2015 15:53

Don't do it.

You have a lovely mouth (well that sounds weird). You have full lips.

I've seen a few youtube beauty people who I used to really respect have lip fillers within the last year and they all look fucking ridiculous.

ImAllTorque · 12/10/2015 17:27

Your lips look great. I havent seen one person, either IRL or a 'celeb' that looks better as a result of having it done. And most look ridiculous.

If you feel you must, try something like Lip Voltage first.

Ellie Goulding is who gave me the idea actually. I've seen a lot of botched jobs too which does concern me. I'm trying so hard to get back my 'image' that I think I might be scrutinising every little bit to try and make it better.

What is Lip Voltage? I'm wondering whether I should maybe get one of those plumping lip glosses for a bit of confidence.

People would pay to have your lips
don't do it. The results are awful

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 12/10/2015 20:37

Ellie Goulding looked nicer before. She looks more generic now.

A tiny amount placed around the edge, not in the body of the upper lip, would perk it up a little and give it a subtle curl.

Agree with everyone else though, you're lips are pretty much perfect naturally.

Oh Christ. I bought Lip Voltage and have just put it on for the first time. It's bloody sore!!

You're mad woman! You already have lovely bee stung smackers.

Personally I think lip enhancement is the most recognisably fake looking procedure. Especially when people have the top lip plumped, it generally looks misshapen.

squoosh · 16/10/2015 00:03

For all she's tried most procedures Posh Spice has always avoided lip enhancement and looks the better for it.

Getuhda348 · 16/10/2015 01:19

I have never had my lips done but I'm constantly asked if I have because my lips are full and very forward! It's not a good look! I always look like I'm pouting and it gives you a very 'resting bitch face'. Your lips are lovely the way they are! If you really do though I think they can inject very small amounts in certain areas, there's a place near me that can kind of fix wonky smiles by injecting cleverly. But i really don't think you need it!

divere · 16/10/2015 10:11

You've all managed to persuade me other Grin
I think I'm just going to focus on keeping them moisturised as I neglect them to go dry and shrivel! I'm also having braces soon which will probably make my mouth stick out a bit anyway...
