Budget boots that'll last?

I'm still on the hunt for new boots.

Unfortunately my budget is not as much as I had expected so need to look for something cheap that'll last Sad.

Do any of you have any suggestions where to look? My max spend is £40-50.

You might get something in M&S, which have always lasted me a long time. Recently bought a pair of leather boots from Sainsburys for £35 - very comfy, but as I haven't had them very long it's hard to say how long they'll last.

I didn't look in M&S, thanks, I'll pop in tomorrow when I go to town.

Sainsbury's is a bit far for me to get to but I'll check their website - I can always get my dad to go if he's passing.

Depending on what size you are and what colour you choose some of these are around £40. I got the black ones. They seem good quality and have amazing thick soles with great grips.

Oh! Thanks very much Tin, I quite like those.

Daft question - do the heels make a noise? Not that it really matters Grin

I hae to say I really don't think there's such a thing as long lasting good boots.
Your best bet is to look for something on sale, or trawl through the shoeaholics website. You can be very lucky there.

Oops forgot a word: good budget boots

lucysmam · 12/10/2015 10:21

I've had my current pair three years shedragon. I have worn them every day near enough (apart from summer) & think they've lasted well. They do look tired and worn out now though.

I just bought these hush puppies boots from Soletrader Outlet for £40, they seem good quality. The site has some good bargains although limited sizes in most styles. Might be worth a look.

What about Rocket Dog? Any good?

I'm following links from Tinfoiled's boots & some of those are quite nice.

No they don't make a noise particularly - I'm quite a clumpy walker though so it's hard for me to tell! The only thing I would mention is that they're pull on so no side zip. I've had rocket dog boots in the past - they're OK but none of them are leather iirc.
