Classic leather jackets

Any ideas of where I can get a soft leather jacket, I would prefer a simple biker style but realise at my age perhaps I need to pare it down to a simpler shape. I am approaching 50, blue hair , olive skin and tend to wear a lot of black I still am trying to move on from goth, but still love my docs, I just want a jacket as my old student biker one was retired a few years ago, so I am banking on this one taking me through to my 80's !!! and adding an elegant element to my wardrobe. Any advice appreciated.

I'm mid 40s, my biker jacket is from Whistles.

TK Maxx have lots.

Massimo Dutti have some nice ones at the moment. Tk Maxx always worth a look too.

Screw that "at my age...."(said in quavery voice) bollocks. I'm 52 and bought my most recent biker jacket last year, upon the advice of my best friend who's 54. I have no intention of making it last until I'm 80, as I'm sure there's going be a suede one (the holy grail of biker jackets) available at some point. My dream.

You have blue hair. Electric blue, I hope and not old lady blue rinse. So don't go trying to be sensible or you'll be in M&S elasticated trousers before you know it Shock.

Celtic & co do a couple of lovely leather jackets - here's a link www.celticandco.com/ladies/ladies-outerwear/leather-biker-jacket

I'm the same - 40s and have a lovely one from Whistles.

I'm nearly 50 too. Mine is plainer than a typical biker jacket and goes with practically everything. It's originally from Next but I got it second hand for £15. Being second hand probably also means it's a bit softer. Would you consider eBay or similar?

Floisme · 12/10/2015 17:57

I'm approaching 60 and have one but am saving up for a second in grey.
If it helps, I rarely see young people wearing them!

Floisme · 12/10/2015 18:02

Sorry, forgot to say, I've seen some lovely ones in All Saints although I'm not sure if any are black.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/10/2015 18:56

Try Oasis, Mint Velvet or Whistles - all have some lovely ones.

ChinUpChestOut yes your'e right sod the age element and there is no way I am going to be sensible, and yes my hair is electric blue I should have phrased it as a seeking a classic good investment buy, but a blue leather jacket has caught my eye and long term when I have electric silver hair it will look groovy eh Grin
Thank you for all your suggestions and I am following them up .
