When do you them? Are you very good and do them at the end of Spring and put them away lovely clean and water proofed?

Or do you dig them out all ignored from the back of the wardrobe when it looks like there is going to be more rain than not and strangers start commenting on the fact you're still wearing flip flops and realise you need them?

I've cleaned them. I'll waterproof tomorrow when they are dry, then waterproof again the day after.

(I have to admit my dad was right when he said you need to look after your boots)

Mine are abandoned in spring, I'm afraid. How do you waterproof them?

FreeButtonBee · 11/10/2015 19:24

Abandoned in spring. Have lovely red suede brogues which are filthy. Hope they recover. At least the mud is dry Hmm

I use the aerosol waterproofed stuff. But I prefer to do two lots on my suede stuff and Uggs.

ooh, thanks for the reminder - need to get some spray stuff ..... the leather boots i have get a wipe with a leather wipe if they are lucky.

I only have normal leather ones and just use shoe polish, is that right? I'm clueless about this!

HoneyDragon · 11/10/2015 21:11

Shoe polish is fine for leather, if they stop being water proof than you can use dubbing wax to waterproof them.
