Jeans fit ... come and tell me how to get it right

I've just bought two pairs of Gap Revolution Skinnies (having seen them recommended on here) and they're driving me mad after a few hours wear. They're slipping down so not only am I having to hoick them up at the waist but also at the groin, like a pair of tights. They seemed a good, snug fit when I tried them, now I've got a saggy bum! Is it me, the jeans or have I bought them too big on the waist (they're comfortable rather than hold-your-breath tight). Kinda disappointed to say the least!

I always buy jeans the tightest I can get on . They always grow and it drives me nuts .. Take the second pair back and get a smaller pair .. If they have grown a lot I would take the pair that you have on back too... It makes me so cross when jeans grow !!!

The general advice is to buy a size smaller than you actually are.

Have worn both .... was so stupid to put the second pair on this morning but I really needed something to wear! Lesson learned - will size down next time. Thanks!

Gap jeans seem to grow a size overnight, as I recently learned to my cost. Bought some of the low rise real straight the other week and they look like a bag of rags now.

I've taken jeans back with the receipt and labels after wearing them and said they weren't fit for purpose .. I don't think they should grow to the point they don't stay up .. The shops were next and principles when they were around . Be assertive but polite , quote the sale of goods act and ask for a refund .

My levis don't do this, in the shop they advise it should be a tight fit which feels a bit uncomfortable to begin with but is perfect after about half an hour.

I agree with PP to take the Gap ones back. I took a pair back to next that sagged and they didn't quibble.

All my Gap chinos did this. The quality is crap, these days. I took them back because, despite being tight in the shop, I could pull them off without undoing the buttons after a few hours.

I now avoid Gap, which is a shame as a few years ago, they provided good basics. Oh, and the sizing is nuts!

Not sure of your size and shape but White Stuff (of all places ;-)) were the best durable jeans for a similar budget. Agree with PP Levi also good but higher budget.
