Please help wise people of Style & Beauty.

I need a pair of black leggings.

Preferably high waist.

Preferably under £20

Completely plain and must must must not show underwear to the world!

Preferably advice with a link and absolutely spoonfed to me which ones I should buy. Have spent the day looking but all are either not my size or transparent!!

Thanks in advance Smile

This are my go to leggings Hush bit more than your wanting to pay, there might be a discount code somewhere?

ihatethecold · 10/10/2015 20:01

Boden leggings are very nice and quite thick.
My black ones wash very well and don't get baggy knees.

Lg74 · 10/10/2015 21:22

Next leggings. The £10 ones, they're not see through and wash well.

MyrtleMoans · 10/10/2015 21:25

Sainsburys single (ie not the multi pack) are fab

polyhymnia · 10/10/2015 21:26

Agree Boden good. But wouldn't personally wear any leggings with a top short enough to allow my underwear, or at least it's outlines, to be seen anyway.

AimUnder · 10/10/2015 21:26

Boden

Those hush ones have a wait time
Of 7+ weeks ConfusedConfused

I have h&m ones now but have put a hole in
Them, they don't have them in store anymore and I don't know which ones they are online Blush

Will check out Boden

Boden have a little bit off atm. I find them very good

HopefulAnxiety · 10/10/2015 21:58

If you're in their size range, the Yours Clothing 'tummy control' ones are ace. Yes it's cheaper fabric than say Boden, and the 'tummy control' is in scare quotes because it doesn't do much in the way of tummy controlling, BUT the extra layer of fabric means they never roll down or give a muffin top or show underwear outlines. They wash well too.

yellobunny91 · 10/10/2015 22:26

Gap Pure Body leggings are my favourite. They are at your price point and are really soft and comfortable.

PurpleDaisies · 10/10/2015 22:29

Sainsbury's ones are brilliant-£10 for a pair (not the pack of two, the single ones) and they fit all your criteria.

Coastingit · 10/10/2015 22:35

I bought some Sainsbos ones this year and they don't seem as good as the previous two years - not as thick. Still a lovely shape and nice soft fabric but I wouldn't recommend them as an hg legging anymore.

stayathomegardener · 10/10/2015 22:42

The Perfect Black Leggings... DD just featuring in an advert for them but they are amazing!

RavioliOnToast · 12/10/2015 18:04

I got some high waisted ones form newlook. They were £6.99 I think. I like them and will repurchase Grin

TobleroneBoo · 12/10/2015 19:54

ravioli those were the ones I wanted , only had 6,8 and 10 in store. Went online and they had only those sizes too!

These from Next. The waistband is so soft and they come up really high. They're not at all see through and so, so soft.

TobleroneBoo · 13/10/2015 06:57

Thank you all! I have ordered some from peacocks which were recommended by a friend, but now I know i think I'll order a few more from here - can't have too many pairs of leggings ThanksThanks

I have the mint velvet ones that have a thick waistband and are fairly high waisted . Very thick and not see through. They were around £16 I think .. Size down .

allchatnicknamesgone · 14/10/2015 17:12

i live in leggings. Sainsburys (luxury) single packs are the best. Come in different lengths too.
