sensible merrell versus pretty little ankle boots

Work has dried up I can only afford to buy one of the above. I have some old merrell oslos which are just about still wearable but definitely coming to the end of their life. I have worn them to death for 3/4 years and they are so cosie. Have just bought some merrell decora boots, they are fab and I will wear them to death but.....

I long for some pretty little ankle boots that I can trot about in feeling chic. Obviously when the winter kicks in they probably will languish in the wardrobe.

Buy some cheap ankle boots

TheGreenNinja · 08/10/2015 12:41

Merrell, Merrell, Merrell.
My Merrell boots are ALL I wear from October to at least March, I've just had to get a new pair as the last ones wore out.
Practicality over prettiness I'm afraid!

If you have two pairs of Merrell boots and the cash to buy either another pair or a chic, dainty, beautiful pair of ankle boots it is surely, as they say, a no brainer?

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 08/10/2015 12:46

No I only have one old pair and the new ones I received today.
Knackered - I have my eye on these and waiting for a discount code or sale
ninja - I know your are right

Ah, I see. Probably keep the Merrell and get some ankle boots in the sales/xmas present.

Just checked I bought the oslos in 2011 and have worn them constantly through 4 scottish winters. They have done well

I personally wouldn't call those M and S ones pretty. To me, they're OK but no more.think you could do better.

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 08/10/2015 14:13

M&s ones are slightly better in the flesh these are my hearts desire
