Sam Edelman petty boots, I think I love them?

I think these could be the answer to my winter footwear dilemma - can be worn with Jeans and skirts, look good etc but am I right? If I have chunky calves can I wear these with a skirt? (I do have chunky calves). And if they wear the answer would I be completely stupid to buy them in suede?

They're the best ever, super comfy and go with everything. I have the Posey in tan suede (Petty with some chain mail), and have used spray protector -still look fantastic after ?2 years. I've got black leather Pettys, fabulous shoes.

I've been considering a pair too, where's the best place to buy? I have slim calves, would they work for me with skirts?

God I am obsessed with them but I want them in putty and can't find them anywhere

Would it be crazy to get the light coloured ones?

Also I am either 6 or 6.5 in ankle boots depending on how wide they are. How are they size wise?

I am a UK4 and have both 6 and 6.5 - 6 fine barefoot, 6.5 better if I want to wear socks

I'm confused, is that American sizing? I am also a UK 4.

I love love love the putty/beige bt I'm not sure how practical it is for winter, the black suede is ok but I'm not sure I love the wood sole with the black? But I also don't like the black leather with the black sole, too boring? I've stumbled across the moss green and think they're the ones. Maybe? Good with jeans, bit more interesting than black?

It's insane, we are truly being ripped off in the UK. Had a major spend in Banana Republic too, prices cheaper to begin with then 40% off your entire purchase as it's a holiday weekend.

I think they are way overpriced here - I like the look of these boots, right height and shape for comfort but while they are leather on the outside they have a synthetic lining, definitely not worth the money.

Shopbop are selling the putty for £67 using a code due to expire on 15Oct.

I gave in and bought the black suede but will probably return, they are nice but probs not £100 nice. Also I really wanted the putty colour but decided against as too impractical.

Update - I bought the black suede and have lived in them for the past few months. Definitely want the putty now and need to hit up friends heading to the States to bring them back for me, fingers crossed.
